The Forwarded E-mail

We have all received them. Warning you of impending disaster or an undetectable virus, else offering you a chance to win a prize and to enter all you need to do is forward the email to everyone in your address book by placing them in the TO field and including a specific address in the CC field.

Most of these E-mails are hoaxes. To determine fact from fiction it takes just 30 seconds. Simply copy or re-type the subject line of the email into Google or your favourite search engine.

You will find out quickly whether the E-mail is a hoax. If it is... Break the cycle, don’t forward it.
